Davis is a university town, and that makes it different from the rest of the Sacramento area: a large share of homes here are rentals — apartments, duplexes and shared houses near UC Davis and downtown.

If you rent, read your lease before booking. Many leases allow a wall-mounted TV, some require written permission, and most expect the holes to be repaired when you move out. A fixed or tilting mount needs only a few holes into the studs, which keeps that repair small.

Owner-occupied homes in Davis range from older houses in Old North Davis and the central neighborhoods to newer ones in Mace Ranch, Wildhorse and The Cannery. The newer homes are standard drywall on wood studs. In the older ones, the wall may not be standard drywall, so mention the age of the house and we will check before the visit.
