Homes and walls in North Carolina
North Carolina is growing quickly, and much of its housing is new: two-story homes in Charlotte, Raleigh, Durham and their suburbs, with drywall on wood studs and a fireplace wall wired for a TV. That outlet is often high, so a tilting or pull-down mount improves the view. Older mill houses and bungalows in Greensboro and Winston-Salem can have plaster or wood-board walls. Screened porches are a popular place for a second TV.
Whatever the wall, the rule is the same: the installer checks it with you and you approve the spot before anything is drilled.
