Homes and walls in Texas

Texas homes are typically large, single-family and built on a slab: brick outside, drywall on wood studs inside. In Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, Fort Worth and Austin, the main living room wall usually has a fireplace, often faced in stone, with a TV outlet above it. Stone needs long masonry anchors. Covered patios and outdoor kitchens are part of many Texas houses, and a TV there needs an outdoor-rated screen and shade from the heat.

Whatever the wall, the rule is the same: the installer checks it with you and you approve the spot before anything is drilled.

Where we plan to open in Texas

We open a city once at least two local installers there have passed our selection and a hands-on skills test. These five come first.

Not everyone gets in.

Mountzo works with independent local installers. Before one reaches your door, three things have already happened.

  1. 1
    Selected

We look at experience and past installs before anything else.

  2. 2
    Tested

A hands-on skills test before the first job.

  3. 3
    Under agreement

Every installer signs our service agreement and answers for the work.
