Homes and walls in Delaware
Delaware is small but varied: brick rowhouses in Wilmington, postwar suburbs around Newark and Dover, and new developments near Middletown and the beach towns. In rowhouses the side walls are shared masonry, often brick behind plaster, so the mount is anchored into brick. In newer homes it is drywall on wood studs. Beach houses and second homes in Sussex County often want a TV on a screened porch, which needs outdoor-rated equipment because of the salt air.
Whatever the wall, the rule is the same: the installer checks it with you and you approve the spot before anything is drilled.
Where we plan to open in Delaware
We open a city once at least two local installers there have passed our selection and a hands-on skills test. These five come first.
