Homes and walls in Michigan
In Michigan the basement is often the main TV room. Homes around Detroit, Warren and Sterling Heights are largely brick ranches and colonials from the 1950s to the 1970s, with plaster or early drywall upstairs and concrete or block walls downstairs. Newer homes in the Grand Rapids and Ann Arbor areas are standard drywall on wood studs. On block or poured concrete, the mount is anchored into the masonry and cables run in a cover.
Whatever the wall, the rule is the same: the installer checks it with you and you approve the spot before anything is drilled.
Where we plan to open in Michigan
We open a city once at least two local installers there have passed our selection and a hands-on skills test. These five come first.
