Homes and walls in Pennsylvania
Pennsylvania's cities are built of brick and stone. Philadelphia rowhouses have shared masonry side walls, usually under plaster, and Pittsburgh's older homes are similar. A mount on those walls is anchored into brick. Allentown, Reading and Erie also have many prewar houses with plaster and lath. Newer suburban homes are drywall on wood studs. Tell us if it is a rowhouse, and which wall you want the TV on.
Whatever the wall, the rule is the same: the installer checks it with you and you approve the spot before anything is drilled.
Where we plan to open in Pennsylvania
We open a city once at least two local installers there have passed our selection and a hands-on skills test. These five come first.
