Homes and walls in Ohio

Ohio has a large stock of older homes. In Cleveland, Cincinnati, Toledo and Akron, houses built before the 1950s usually have plaster walls, and many have brick fireplaces. Columbus and its suburbs have far more recent construction with drywall on wood studs. Finished basements are common across the state. Each of these — plaster, brick, drywall, concrete — holds a TV well with the right anchors, so the first question is the age of the house.

Whatever the wall, the rule is the same: the installer checks it with you and you approve the spot before anything is drilled.

Not everyone gets in.

Mountzo works with independent local installers. Before one reaches your door, three things have already happened.

  1. 1
    Selected

We look at experience and past installs before anything else.

  2. 2
    Tested

A hands-on skills test before the first job.

  3. 3
    Under agreement

Every installer signs our service agreement and answers for the work.
